Alexander Mikhaylovsky was born in Odessa, Ukraine. At the age of 4, he started to learn violin with his first violin professor, Bella Barsky. Alexander received a bachelors degree in music, then attended the University of Music and Pedagogy in Ulianovsk, Russia where he achieved a Master's Degree in Music in 1990. He has played with various groups including: The Miami Symphony Orchestra, Latin American Chamber Orchestra, Florida Grand Opera, the Miami Ballet. Alexander has worked in the capacity of Orchestra Director with Miami-Dade Public Schools, Miami Beach Academy of Performing Arts, Florida Music Education Center and various private academies.

His repertoire of fast Spanish guitar, romantic rumba, gypsy style flamenco, and percussive techniques make this New World School of the Arts trained musician truly engaging to watch and hear. Andre can sometimes be found sharing his passion for music busking on Lincoln Road.
